Daily Khabra. Punjab News: Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly and MLA from Garhshankar, Jai Krishna Singh Raudi, today visited various grain markets in his constituency and took a detailed review of the facilities and procurement arrangements being implemented there.
During this visit, he visited the grain markets of Mahingrowal, Mahilpur, and Moranwali to assess the situation on the spot. He spoke with the farmers present in the markets and learned about the problems they were facing. Taking the issues raised by them seriously, he directed the concerned officials to resolve them immediately.
Ensure smooth arrangements
The Deputy Speaker clarified that farmers will not face any difficulties while selling their crops and that smooth arrangements are being ensured in the markets. He directed officials to ensure that the weighing, lifting, and payment processes are completed in a transparent and timely manner.
Emphasis was also placed on ensuring cleanliness, drinking water, electricity, and other basic amenities in the mandis. Rowdy stated that the Punjab government is fully committed to the welfare of farmers and that any negligence in the mandis will not be tolerated.
He stated that all arrangements have been made to ensure timely purchase and payment of crops, so that farmers do not face any problems. He was accompanied on the occasion by officials from various departments, Mandi Board employees, and local leaders.
